27/03 - Lime Street Station

Walking through Lime Street Station at about five o' clock, full of people going home for the weekend, going home for easter. If only it were as easy as catching a train.

--------
Listening to: Where Is My Mind - Pixies

26/03 - Glorious Marmite Cheese

I found Marmite Cheddar in asda. It is truly fantastic. And goes suprisingly well with a sweet cup of tea.

---------
Listening to: Reef - Place Your Hands

25/03 - Fly In The Loaf

There is a pub on Hardman street called The Fly In The Loaf that sells Okell's beer. Sarah and I were walking from JMU library to the bus stop on our way home and decided that it should be the photo for the day. We got a few strange looks from the people sat in the window.

--------
Listening to:  Backstabber - The Dresden Dolls

24/03 - Sweets and Stress

My mum sent me a box of sweets to have on hand 'in case of stress emergencies'. I felt like I was at boarding school, Mallory Towers or Hogwarts or somewhere. I have the best mum ever.

Listening to: Poor Little Rich Boy - Regina Spector

23/03 - The Ghoul-Gate

"One grave in every graveyard belongs to the ghouls. Wander any graveyard long enough and you will find it - water-stained and bulging, with cracked or broken stone, scraggly grass or rank weeds about it, and a feeling, when you reach it, of abandonment. It may be colder than the other gravestones, too, and the name on the stone is all too often impossible to read. If there is a statue on the grave, it will be headless or so scabbed with fungus and lichens as to look like a fungus itself. If one grave in a graveyard looks like a target for petty vandals, that is the ghoul-gate. If the grave makes you want to be somewhere else, that is the ghoul-gate.
There was one in Bod's graveyard.
There is one in every graveyard."

-Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book

22/03 - Clockwork Killer

This is one of the Clockwork Killers from the Dr. Who episode The Girl In The Fireplace (amazing episode, you should watch it.)  He guards my speakers from bad music. I will try take a better picture today than the rubbish ones that have been for the last few days, promise.

--------
Listening to: Heard Them Stirring - Fleet Foxes

21/03 - Empty Bed

I found a website called mydailyphoto that is a whole bunch of people doing the same thing that I am with their photo diaries. One of the suggestions for photos to take is to try and sum up your day in a photo. This is the empty side of my bed that I don't sleep on.

--------
Listening to: Rangers - A Fine Frenzy

20/03 - Django's Riff

The tables are all painted with green ladies in various states of undress in Django's Riff. Voluptuous is the word I would use.

19/03 - Rachel's Birthday

Rachel's 21st birthday is actually on saturday, but she's going home for weekend so we had a meal at Cafe Rouge and a night out at Django's Riff last night. Good times. Yes that is how they dance normally, they're not just posing for the picture.

---------
Listening to: Pavement Were A Bunch Of Lazy Wankers - Deathmøle

18/03 - I Love Lamp pt. 2

Rachel has a beautiful lamp in her room. It's made of some sort of crazy beautiful stretched painted canvas.

--------
Listening to: Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy

17/03 - Ali G

Ali G has had to start a newsagents now that he has been overshadowed by Borat.

--------
Listening to: Come On, Come Out - A Fine Frenzy

16/03 - Tie Dye

I got a tie-dye kit for christmas from my Auntie Nicki, and myself and Lucy and Sarah got very overexcited with it on saturday and tie-dyed anything white we could find. This is one of my t-shirts, I'm rather pleased with it.

--------
Listening to: Dashboard Confessional - Stolen

Monday 16 March 2009

15/03 - Jenny L E and Shop Windows

Jenny LE came to visit me, and on our meandering way from the sea terminal to paradise bus station we came across this rather bizarre shop window, possibly being overtaken by triffids.

-------
Listening to: Further - Longview

14/03 - Gingerbread Men

Lovely Rachel bought me a decorate-your-own gingerbread man to cheer me up in the face of disstertation craziness, and this is what we decorated. Top left is Rachel's, bottom left is Lucy's and the one on the right is mine. Om nom nom.

--------
Listening to: Good Times Bad Times -Led Zeppelin

13/03 - Red Nose Day

My mum got me this particular red nose from school because it has glasses too. I think it looks a bit like Alan Carr. Just noticed my arm looks a bit deformed in this picture. How bizarre.

-------
Listening to: Queen - Don't Stop Me Now

Sunday 15 March 2009

12/03 - Terribly Upset

I am very upset, I appear to have deleted the photo for this day. It wasn't particularly good, it was just a silly photo of the modified Harry Potter poster in our house where Harry has botox lips, but nonetheless.

Bah.

11/03

The main lightbulb in my room has blown, so I've taken the shade off my bedside lamp so I can see what I'm doing. I keep thinking the sun is coming up for some reason, the quality of the light over here by my desk has a similar odd quality.

-------
Listening to: Ray LaMontagne - Barfly

10/03 - LAMBIES

Alexx told me off for shouting 'mint sauce' at the lambs near my house. I blame my family's carniverous conditioning.

09/03 - Slumdog Millionaire

Alexx and Lady Steve doing their impression of Dev Patel winning 20million rupees. I did think Slumdog Millionaire was really good. Not sure if it is as good as the hype, but then I suppose nothing ever is.

Apart from The Dark Knight maybe.

-------
Listening to: John Mayer Trio - Daughters

08/03 - Hangover Cures

There are certain situations in which eating McDonald's is acceptable. Sunday hangovers is one of them.

-------
Listening to: Amos Lee - Dreamin'

07/03 More Clouds

The pictures I took at the party on saturday were all very drunk and blurry, so here is a nice picture of some clouds I took from the plane instead. Wanted very much to bounce on the clouds.

--------
Listening to: Josh Kelley - Everybody Wants You

06/03 - Scouse Pigeon

SCOUSE INNER CITY PIGEON COULD TOTALLY TAKE YELLING BIRD.

Apologies for rubbish picture.
---------
Listening to: Matt Nathanson - Curve of the Earth

Thursday 5 March 2009

05/03 - Cock Soup

Found this in ASDA while adventuring with Rachel for curry ingredients. Mmm.

04/02 - Aslan

I know Aslan has been a picture of the day once before, but hey, he's a hamster, he's cute, you'll get over it.

-------
Listening to: Clair de Lune - Debussy (This is one of my favourite pieces of music ever.)

Tuesday 3 March 2009

03/02 Boarding Pass

Alexx went home this evening.

I know I'm back on saturday, but distance is distance no matter how long for! Four more sleeps :)

02/03 Manhattan Jack

Alexx took me out for lunch at Dinomat, an awesome diner on top Liverpool One. Not only does it have great food, brilliant music, and nice staff, but they let us have cocktails in the middle of the day. It was either Manhattan Jacks or $5 shakes. We'll get milkshakes next time. Probably.

-------
Listening to: Moar Metallica yum yum

01/03 Mm York Cake

Alexx and I went to Bettys tea rooms in York on sunday, and they had these cakes in the window downstairs that I don't think I could ever eat because they look so beautiful. I kinda wanted to poke the orange one.

-------
Listening to: The Day That Never Comes - Metallica

28/02 Metallica

OH YES THAT IS JAMES HETFIELD.

You need to click on the picture to make it big enough to see really. Metallica were amazing. I know I overuse the word, but they really, really were.

--------
Listening to: Nothing Else Matters (S&M version) - Metallica

27/02 Tiny Daffodils

Found some tiny daffodils in Preston station while waiting for the connection train to Lancaster to meet Alexx and April. Rather blurry because I was shivering because it was cold. Nevermind.

-------
Listening to: Metallica - All Nightmare Long
