26/02/2009 - Eye Can See You...hurrr...

Picture of my eye, taken for Lady Steve to practice photoshopping on. That is why my eye isn't bloodshot and I don't look tired. Steve rules at the photoshop game.

26/02/2009 - Crocuses at Hope Park

Pretty flowers at Uni. Apart from that withered one on the right. I've only just noticed that as I've posted it. Damnit.

24/02/2009 - Join The Rebellyon

Lucy drew the face on me and the flower on Rach. I drew her heart. Join the Rebellyon.

Frogspawn is weird. It's in the pond in our back garden every year, but often it gets really cold and some of it freezes and we don't have as many frogs as the vast quantities of frogspawn would suggest.

Meredith was christened on sunday, and I meant to get a picture of her for the blog, but in the only photo I have where you can really see her she has apple baby food spread all over her face. I'm going to save it for her 18th. So instead here is a picture of Harry terrorising Eban.

Our Music in Contemporary Thought lecture today was on John Cage, so Sarah R prepared the piano by sticking a bunch of nails, a few pens, and her memory stick in it. I love the sound of prepared piano. It makes me happy in my geekbrain.

Fun fact for the day: John Cage once wrote a piece that called for the performer to crawl inside the vagina of a living whale.

I kid you not.

Sarah and I went to see The Fragmented Orchestra again on wednesday, and this was in the cafe part of FACT where the exhibition was. It made me happy. We tipped, of course. :P

I made a seal with wings out of plasticine. I can promise that it is a seal, you just can't see his tail because his wings are in the way. Lady Steve is the queen of plasticine sculpture. It is also her birthday. Happy Birthday Stevie. :)

As you can see from this model's pose, the influence of the Crab Tag craze has extended to the fashion world. CRAB TAAAAG! (Find out more here!)

This pony runs tourists round Liverpool for £2.50 per person. The man with the pony said we could only take a picture of it if we (me and Phil) paid £2.50. We decided not to do that, and just took a picture of it when he wasn't looking instead. Score!

11/02/2009

This is Rachel's hamster, Aslan. He looks really fat, but I think he is just part lion. There is a great photo of him doing a rage on Lucy's blog.

I also wanted to post this picture of Freakish Backwards Duck. My mum took this at Silverdale, so I can promise you that it is a real duck and not photoshopped. She says it seems perfectly happy and socially accepted by the other ducks, and just looks a bit strange. A bit strange?

10/02/2009

We had boiled eggs for lunch yesterday. I can never seem to get the timing quite right at the moment for the perfect dippy egg. My mum is the best at it. Which makes sense, because she's a mum and they can do these sort of magic things like make dippy eggs, and roast dinners, and understand washing machines, and take up clothes that are too long without it looking rubbish.

09/02/2009

I realised at about two minutes to midnight last night that I hadn't taken a picture, so I tried to take one of what it looks from inside when I'm wrapped up in a blanket but it was too dark, so I took a picture of my hands being cold on the outside instead.

---------
Listening to: Still listening to Rach practicing. It's pretty.

8/02/2009

The household was feeling very creative when I took this. I was in the spare room messing about on my viola, Will was playing bass in Rachel's room and Rachel and Kirsty were choreographing something downstairs. It was nice.

I should really get some more fine tuning pegs.

Same night out, but past midnight so I'm counting it as saturday. I can't remember why Carrie was so afraid. I'm sure there was a good reason.

Laura and Sarah inform me that these are their best "jazz faces". Laura's birthday night out, taken in the Caledonia watching Marley Chingus. They are most awesome.

This is on London Road just down from the Cornerstone. I don't believe in love at first sight. Being such a hopeless romantic, you'd think I would.

Lucy's external hard drive is protected by a dalek and several cybermen, as you can see. I wouldn't try to steal it.

02/02/2009 (The Snow Day)

I love daffodils. I was going to say they are my favourite flowers, but that's a lie, I can't choose between daffodils, daisies, roses, lilies or carnations. I think I mostly love things that are happy colours. These ones are in Sefton Park.

Listening to: Naive - Lily Allen (live lounge version)

I'm going to explain away the poor quality of this picture by describing it as an "action shot".
