Our Music in Contemporary Thought lecture today was on John Cage, so Sarah R prepared the piano by sticking a bunch of nails, a few pens, and her memory stick in it. I love the sound of prepared piano. It makes me happy in my geekbrain.Fun fact for the day: John Cage once wrote a piece that called for the performer to crawl inside the vagina of a living whale.
